Readings and Performances and Information

(This feature-length improv film "Girl Under the Waves", which I have the lead in, is being broadcast all month on the IFC channel. If you go to www.ifctv.com and then click on tv schedule you can spot it. I made this movie, directed by Jay Anania, about four-and-a-half years ago. Also, oddly enough, I just found out that I'm in another movie, as well. A few years ago I spent three days on a porn-set and wrote an article about my experience for NY Press. I then reprinted that article, "The Pop and My Pop," in my book My Less Than Secret Life. Well, during my time on the set, I was cast as a porn-extra in the film, "C-Men", which cartoonist Bob Fingerman discovered has been released, featuring my cameo! You can find this film at www.adultdvdempire or at the Vivid Video site. Personally, I don't like porn and don't find it erotic, but I think it's very funny that I'm in a porn movie.)

(My new novel, Wake Up, Sir!, comes out in July. It can be pre-ordered at any of the online stores or at your local bookstore. Scroll down to see details about a July book-tour.)

(I have a piece about Kurt Cobain on www.blacktable.com)

This will be at Bailiwick Arts Center - Mainstage Theatre. Doors will open at 10:30 pm
1229 W. Belmont
Chicago, IL 60657

The tickets cost 18 dollars the night of, but if you buy them in advance they are 15 dollars.
