Sept. 28th -- I will be doing a comedy bit at Andy Borowitz's show: 8 PM at The Marquee Theater, 356 Bowery (between Great Jones and East 4th). Tickets $5; for more info call 212-664-2957. Septermber 29th, I will be reading at Oberlin, probably at 7pm, with Dan Chaon, Julie Orringer, Vendela Vida, Ryan Harty, and Jim Shepard. September 30th, I will be at Cleveland State University (2:30pm) and Case Western (7pm), with Andrew Sean Greer, Julie Orringer, Ryan Harty, Dan Chaon, Vendela Vida, and Robert Olmstead. These readings are organized by Stephen Elliott and his Operation Ohio, whose purpose is to register college students to vote. October 2nd, I will be part of New York is Book Country -- I will be signing books at NYU, but I don't have the exact info. October 3rd (6:00pm), I will be at the Sundays at Sunny's Reading Series in Red Hook at Sunny's Bar. Here are directions: by bus: take the B61 toward Red Hook from Atlantic Ave. & Court St. (or from the A train midtrain exit at Jay Street Borough Hall). Get off near the end of the line at Van Brunt & Beard streets., walk 1 block right and 1/2 block left. Or take the B77 bus down 9th Street from Park Slope (or from the Smith and 9th Street F train stop--exit at the rear of the train and come down the stairs to street level and the corner bus stop.) Take the bus in the direction of Van Brunt Street and Red Hook. October 7th (7pm), I will be at the Park Slope Barnes and Noble (somewhere on 7th Avenue), reading and appearing with the band One Ring Zero.
