Readings, News, Performances: Very big news today (September 24) -- my good friend, Patrick Bucklew, aka "The Mangina," got on the Howard Stern show today for a Hemorrhoid Contest. Patrick was one of six finalists, chosen from fifty contestants! On the show, he generously plugged me, Jonathan Ames, as his official biographer. You can see Patrick's picture at: http://howardstern.com/today.php. After today, it might be in the Stern archives, so look under 'hemorrhoid contest' and you'll probably find it. Patrick is the fellow in the picture who is wearing a hemorrhoid cushion on his head. In my books I called Patrick "Harry Chandler" to protect his family . . . but most people know his true identity. You can see his website at www.themangina.com. Other news: I will be reading October 2nd at 3pm, as part of the New York is Book Country festival; this will be at the Kaufman Center. For details, go to http://www.nyisbookcountry.com/content/authors.asp . Also, the great Robert Birnbaum conducted a very nice interview with me and this can be found at: www.identitytheory.com. For other reading dates, most importantly the readings in Ohio to help get out the vote, scroll down to the previous entry. Thank you!
