Readings, News, Performances

Please note that on February 1, I will be giving three readings at three locations, and please take note of the event on March 11th -- the Fez is closing and to say good bye to this great space I'm putting together an action-packed evening of performance. The Fez is where I got my start telling stories in New York and I'm very sad that it will be closing after 12 great years, but I hope the show I'm putting together will be a nice farewell.

Here's a link to this funny Van Gogh picture of me: http://www.slower.net/pl.php?photo_id=1937

And here's a link to a funny picture of my muse, Patrick Bucklew, taken at the same time: http://www.slower.net//entries/001904.php

A piece I wrote has been republished at: http://mrbellersneighborhood.com/story.php?storyid=1161

To ask me a question, if you think it would be amusing to do so, go to this site: http://www.postroadmag.com/20questions/JonathanAmes.phtmlOkay, here are the upcoming performance/reading dates:

January 29th, I will be posing as Van Gogh (see above link as well) at the Clementine Gallery from five to six pm. Patrick Bucklew will be posing as himself. We're part of an art show. On January 15th, the art-critic Roberta Smith came to the gallery and seemed to acknowledge that I bore some resemblance to Van Gogh, which was very kind of her. For details go to:http://www.slower.net/clementine.php

February 1, 7pm, I will be reading from this anthology I contributed to: Naughty Spanking Stories. This reading will be at Babes in Toy Land.
