Readings, News, Performances

Gus D'Angelo and Jennifer M. Kroot, whom I don't know and have never met but they seem very talented, have made an animated music video of my song "The Story of the Hairy Call." You can see it at: http://www.thequickie.com/hairycall.html I wrote this song for the great band One Ring Zero, who put it to music and included it on their hit album "As Smart As We Are." The video is quite amusing, though it makes me out to be a homicidal maniac as a child. This is probably good, since in really life I can rarely experience anger, but in the animated world my inner-fantasy-child has no problem with this, and so maybe some kind of cosmic psychological balance will be achieved.

Below you will see the listings of my various readings/performances. Please note that this Friday, March 11th, I will be hosting a big show I've put together at the Fez. Doors open at 8, show starts at 9, cover-charge is $15, you can order dinner and drinks during the show, and do call for reservations: 212 533 7000.

Also, a book I edited, Sexual Metamorphosis: An Anthology of Transsexual Memoirs, will be published April 12th by Vintage of Random House. Two other notes: a review I wrote will be published March 13th in the NY Times Book Review, and I will have a new book of essays come out next January from Grove. I'm not sure yet about the title. Do scroll down to see about my other readings and thank you for coming to my website.
