Honoree David Binder has been bringing risky theater to the stage for the last decade, producing Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Lisa Kron's 2.5 Minute Ride, and last year's Tony Award winning revival of Raisin in the Sun, among many other shows. We decided to honor David, not only because he’s been a long-time friend and fan of Performance Space 122, but because he is the rare producer that has the guts to support risky shows simply because he likes them and thinks other people will too.
