Readings, News, and Performances
www.jonathanames.com
Tuesday November 28th and Wednesday November 29th, I will have shows upstairs at Mo Pitkin's at 11 pm (doors open at 10:30). Mo Pitkin's is located at 34 Avenue A, between Second and Third Streets. Tickets cost $15.
Each night, the same thing will more or less happen: I will be screening the failed half-hour TV pilot I made two years ago -- What's Not to Love? This pilot has never really been seen by anyone, so as a freakish curiosity it may hold some appeal. In the pilot, which I wrote, I sort of play myself.
After the screening, there will be some q&a, arm-wrestling, nude wrestling, interviews with audience members, and a dance piece, I hope, by Valmonte Sprout. Also, Moby, the musician, may play a song or dance or both.
Tickets can be purchased at the door or through www.ticketweb.com if you search my name, Jonathan Ames.
Also, four of my books, The Extra Man, What's Not to Love?, Wake Up, Sir!, and I Love You More Than You Know, are now available as audio books (read by myself) at www.audible.com; again, search my name . . .
And, finally, Sunday, November 19th, I will have a piece in the NY Times about the Corduroy Appreciation Club.
Thanks!
Jonathan Ames
